JOIN CAMP GALILEO FOR A SUMMER OF INNOVATION, FRIENDSHIP AND FUN!

Our youngest campers (Rising K-1st Grade) take on creative projects and fun activities, all perfectly matched to their big imaginations and innate enthusiasm for learning. Camp Galileo grows along with kids, delivering just the right mix of challenge and fun from Kindergarten to 10th grade with locations across Northern California, Southern California, Chicago, Denver, and Seattle.

In addition to participating in camp games, ceremonies, skits and songs, rising K–1st graders visit three engaging destinations every day, each tailored to their age and designed to unlock the innovation skills they need to thrive.

Innovator's Studio: Where they build creative confidence turning their ideas into individual, polished STEAM projects to take home every week (see project highlights below).

Idea Lab: Where they collaborate on daily design challenges, experiment with wild ideas and find out that sending their creations crashing down is all part of the fun—and learning!

Outdoor Adventure: Where they play exciting outdoor games, take on team-building challenges with an innovative twist and engage in traditional camp fun, from relay races and tag to lanyards and face painting.

SIX WEEKS OF ALL-NEW PROJECTS

Every week at Camp Galileo is a new hands-on adventure in our Innovator's Studio. Kids can choose their favorites from six unique sets of projects—or spend their summer creating them all!

RAIL RIDES & ROAD TRIPS: All roads—and rails!—lead to fun with a week full of things that go. Construct your own rail-ready train complete with smooth axles and sturdy cargo holds. Design colorful cars and a play car wash complete with working scrubbers to drive them through.

MISSION TO THE MOONBlast off on an innovative adventure to infinity and beyond! Design a boldly decorated wearable jetpack and a handy handcart for collecting moon rocks. Investigate aerodynamics as you shoot for the moon with a high-flying rubber band rocket.

ANIMAL EXTRAVAGANZA: Celebrate your furry friends with cool creature creations. Learn about sturdy construction and patterning as you design a pull pet to roll with you and a rocking animal you can really ride on. Craft a cool case to hold collars, food bowls or any other pet accessories you can imagine!

CORAL REEF QUEST: Dive into the extraordinary Great Barrier Reef. Construct a vibrantly painted 3D reef and a mix of crafty creatures to go with it: a clay-sculpted nudibranch, a dumbo octopus with articulated arms and a festive cut-paper Christmas tree worm designed to pop out of its “coral” home.

AMUSEMENT PARK PARTY: Step right up to a playful park of your own design! Try your luck making a ball-in-a-maze game and steadying a teetering acrobat on a balance beam. Create a colorful, wearable concession box stocked with clay whirly pops, textured popcorn and painted cotton candy.

SUPERHERO ADVENTUREGet geared up to save the day as the superest superhero ever. Craft an identity-concealing mask, a bold logo and a utility belt with pockets for custom gadgets. Design rotating dials and hinged switches for a master control panel to mount in your own awesome hero vehicle.

INNOVATION FOR EVERY AGE: Camp Galileo has four age-groups, plus a CIT program, designed to deliver and experience that perfectly balances challenge and fun at every level.

Pros: My son enjoyed outdoor activities and loved the theme each day. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Cons: The length of time given for the each week project each day is only 30 minutes to 45 minutes. It would be nice if its extended for atleast 2 hours each day (example: Tropical Rainforest)

This was fine, my kid enjoyed it and the counselors seemed really spirited. I just don't know how good of a value this is given it is more expensive than some of the other camps and I'm not clear that there was a lot more activities.

Camp Galileo was both of my kids' favorite camp last summer. They loved the staff and brought home amazing projects, including a water blaster that my daughter designed, built, and used all summer.
