Overview

Join us on Monday, January 17th for a 1 day in-person academically focused camp, featuring Minecraft programming and STEM enrichment. Combining fun and learning, your child will be able to best master key 21st century concepts using a platform they love!

Our camp will also include academic enrichment in English & mathematics in addition to modern cultural & social learning. Throughout the day, our instructors will lead your child through the highest quality enrichment education, along with fun and engaging activities, games, and breaks for a great balance of work and play!

My daughter attended this camp last summer. She was traumatized by another summer camp. Ever since then, she was afraid of learning Chinese. This camp helped her change that. Their one-hour chinese class was great! My daughter became interested and she learned. Moreover, they also have individual work packages for math and English, which is good for helping her to refresh what she learned during the school year. Lastly, they have a lot fun activities. She made chinese arts and crafts and did simple experiments. She told me how an explosion works. They used something simple like soda, mentos, and baking soda to demonstrate gas can create an explosion. My daughter was able to explain that to me and had fun doing the group experiments. I plan to send her back this year. I think they are adding cooking activities which I think she will love!

Hi, my son is 5 and in kindergarten. He loves watching Minecraft videos, but we do not have Minecraft installed on our computer. Would he need to have Minecraft in order to participate in this class? Also, is the class from 9a-1p or 9a-4p? The example itenerary goes until 4p but the description says it only goes until 1p. Thanks! (MLK Jr. Day Minecraft & STEM Virtual Camp!) -

Hi Nels, Thank you for your inquiry. Your child does not need to have Minecraft installed on your personal computer in order to participate in this class - we will provide your son with a temporary copy of Minecraft to use during the class time. Regarding the itinerary, the class has multiple time options that you should be able to see on the registration screen. While the schedule is listed from 9 AM to 4 PM, there are three options available in order to meet the needs of all customers: 9 AM to 1 PM (Morning), 12 PM to 4 PM (Afternoon), or 9 AM to 4 PM (Full-Day) - the same schedule will be followed up to the end point for all three options.
