ART
Hello young artists! Drawing at our camp studio involves realistic animals, landscapes, fun characters and more! In our watercolor class we explore all of the different techniques they can apply to make their ideal watercolor painting. We do landscapes, animals, abstracts, wildlife and much more.
In our painting classes, we teach different brush strokes, shadowing and blending techniques. Through our approach we help all campers to feel confident in their own expressive style. Every camper will all have their own style which we support and nurture. There are no boundaries here in our camp studio other than to be yourself! All campers get to unleash their creativity using paper, mosaics, paintings, drawing and much more..
FASHION DESIGN
Our young fashionistas learn fashion design skills to produce their own wearable clothing. From designing and sketching to seeing their vision come to life, we walk the campers through the process of creating and decorating their unique pieces. Our goal at Sew Fun Studios is to celebrate fashion design as cool, relevant and creative activity for all kids to discover the joy of designing, sketching as a life long skill and ongoing creative expression In camp each student will:
- Choose from our specially curated selection of fabrics
- Learn how to use a pattern
- Make fun design choices along the way!
All materials are provided.
A few things to note:
- This is a different location than the regular Bricks4Kidz Milpitas. Another parent and I showed up at the wrong place at first.
- Drop-off time seems pretty flexible, with the folks there from at least 8:50 and some people showing up late.
- The cost for aftercare is slightly different on ActivityHero than if you go through the Bricks4Kidz site for some reason.
- They did watch a movie on Friday, so there is some screen time. Aftercare also seems like a free-for-all - not as structured.
- There is no chess instruction.
All that said, it's very well priced and my kid was very happy to go every day. I do think they can improve some of these things so it is even better, but I do recommend it.
