DRONES
Get ready for the most amazing summer ever at Bricks4kidz Drone Camp, where the only things more amazing than our drones are the amount of fun and stem knowledge! This is not the place for crash landings; rather, it’s a place for curiosity landing into a camp full of experiences, excitement, and new connections.
Enroll your prospective pilot right away because, let’s be honest, drone tricks make learning about technology much more enjoyable. Make sure your child has a seat reserved for the most sought after camp in town, Brick4kidz Drone Camp, where fun meets STEM.
This program offers your child the opportunity to master STEM skills while navigating an obstacle course, learning engineering skills and coding. No dull textbooks here—just amazing drone adventures and the chance for your kid to become the Top Gun of STEM.
GAME DESIGN
The ability to code is a key component of technology education today. Our coding program will teach students important strategies to enhance their logic and problem-solving skills, as well as help them work toward becoming technological innovators of tomorrow. Our program offers a skill level progression of coding concepts. Students will be introduced to basic coding with a fun, user-friendly coding software.
Students will develop a range of coding and problem-solving skills as they create fun video games. Game designers will think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively to create various video games. Each Game Design unit includes a themed mini-model built with LEGO® Bricks that will be the main character of all of the games. Each game progressively teaches more advanced capabilities within the video game design software. Students will be proud and excited to actually play their very own completed video games.
A few things to note:
- This is a different location than the regular Bricks4Kidz Milpitas. Another parent and I showed up at the wrong place at first.
- Drop-off time seems pretty flexible, with the folks there from at least 8:50 and some people showing up late.
- The cost for aftercare is slightly different on ActivityHero than if you go through the Bricks4Kidz site for some reason.
- They did watch a movie on Friday, so there is some screen time. Aftercare also seems like a free-for-all - not as structured.
- There is no chess instruction.
All that said, it's very well priced and my kid was very happy to go every day. I do think they can improve some of these things so it is even better, but I do recommend it.
