Since 2020 Bay Area Role Playing Games has been hosting D&D games for all ages across the Bay Area. In addition to running games though game stores and at private residences we also run programs from Tessellations School in Cupertino, St Paul De Vincent in SF and The Berkeley School in Berkeley.
We offer a variety of role playing game related services including after school, holiday and summer camps for all ages as well as private sessions and birthday parties.
D&D is a creative game of fantasy and high adventure that strengthens the imagination and collaborative skills of its players. Players take on the role of a fantastical character of their own devising and create sprawling adventures under the guidance of a dungeon master. Our dungeon masters bring years of professional theater training and experience into their games, calling on their creative backgrounds to create immersive environments that are fertile ground for imaginative play. We provide all materials required for play and welcome players of all experience levels. At the end of each session our dungeon masters will provide a written summary of the day’s journey so you can experience the adventure as it unfolds from week to week. We strive to create a friendly, safe and inclusive environment for all players.
Teddy Hulsker
Teddy Hulsker is an Oakland-based Bay Area native and Game Master for hire, as well as resident Dungeon Master for Tessellations School.
As a DM Teddy creates a fun environment for play that rewards players for creativity and ingenuity. He loves games that feature a blend of humor, excitement, danger and collaborative problem solving. In addition to being a game master, I am also freelance theater artist specializing in sound and projection design. I love story telling, collaboration, rich imaginary worlds, the bizarre, the strange, and the beautiful.
As a theater artist I've received several nominations and rewards recognizing excellence in the field of sound and projection design. In addition my artist ensemble Klanghuas has received grants and residences supporting our projects. I was the department Honoree at San Francisco State in 2012.
