Aspiring cyclists ages three and a half to six learn the joys of self-sufficient cycling in our half-day Learn to Bike day camp. Nurtured by skilled, patient instructors in a supportive on-site environment, our pint-sized pedalers enjoy camper-to-staff ratios of 5:1 for lots of individual attention and personalized coaching.
We meet kids wherever they are at in their skill level, working through a thoughtful progression from scooting to coasting to pedaling as they get comfortable on two wheels. Taught by our experienced instructors, this time tested method provides campers with the perfect opportunity for skill and confidence building.
Learn to Bike is intended for first-time riders or kids using training wheels or balance bikes, not those who can already ride. We strongly encourage campers to use their own bikes, but they may also borrow from our fleet.
Please only register for the AM session OR PM session, this is a half-day program and is not designed to be a back-to-back pair of camp sessions.
Aftercare is available for campers who are at least 5 years old (additional fee). During aftercare, campers will join a welcome circle each day after camp has ended where they might share the highlight of their day, a new friend they have made, or gratitude that they have. Next, there will be activity stations set up (there will always be one dynamic or movement station and one static or seated station available) that kiddos get to choose from which change daily.
