Day 1.
9:00am-12:00pm. Intro to color theory: primary and secondary colors, opposite / complimentary colors, color temperature, tints and shades. Obtaining a desired color by mixing. Compositional sketches of a large still life. Beginning underdrawing on a large canvas.
12:30pm-3:30pm. Intro to human anatomy. Intro to color theory (for students that join at noon). Compositional sketches for creative self portrait. Beginning underdrawing on a large canvas.
Day 2.
9:00am-12:00pm. Intro on pre- and post- impressionist styles of still life painting. Finalizing underdrawing and starting painting a still life.
12:30pm-3:30pm. Intro on pre- and post- impressionist styles of portrait painting. Finalizing underdrawing and starting painting a portrait.
Day 3.
9:00am-12:00pm. Detailed shading of still life objects, loose painting of background and folds.
12:30pm-3:30pm. Detailed shading of facial features, loose painting of background and hair.
Day 4.
9:00am-12:00pm. Finalizing a still life. Intro on watercolor technique. Starting a final project of a choice.
12:30pm-3:30pm. Finalizing a portrait. Intro on watercolor technique (for students that join at noon). Starting a final project of a choice.
Day 5.
9:00am-12:00pm & 12:30pm-3:30pm. Final project of a choice.
Unfortunately, due to California privacy regulations we are limited at providing you the full footage of the class communication (can't post the link here, sent you one to the email you've provided at registration).
In other words, we can not legally share the links to the recordings.
But the law allows us to show them to you in person: meet with you in a cafe or any other place that provides speedy internet connection, if meeting at a studio does not work for you.
