Active Learning - Chess and Computer Camps

Choose from USA Chess Camp or 7 different Video Game Creation Camps. Mix and match to create a fun-filled day for your child.

At USA Chess Camp, professional chess instructors teach children of all abilities to play and improve their games. Each day consists of chess lessons and competitive play. Instructors are selected by USA Chess for their ability to make chess fun and teach the game to players of all levels.

Our popular video game creation and animation camps let kids create & program their own video game. Using our custom curricula, children learn Minecraft, GameMaker, Kodu or Scratch as they create their very own video games that they can actually play!

Students can attend morning or afternoon half day programs or combine two half-day programs for a full day of fun. They will have a blast with excellent instructors and make new friends with other campers, all while learning and developing their minds!

Our Staff

Our staff is comprised of the best hand-picked children's chess and computer enrichment instructors in North America. Our selection process for instructors is highly competitive. In addition to in-person meetings, interviews and classroom observation, we conduct thorough background checks to ensure that only the best instructors are part of our team. Teaching children is their passion and their enthusiasm is infectious.

My daughter attended a beginners camp in school between October 2024 and Jan 2025, once per week. I noticed that she made good progress in understanding the basics and the rules. I was able to solve some basic puzzles with her after the camp. Overall a positive experience.
