Woodworking Workshop Camp is the ultimate summer camp for kids who love to build, create, and explore the world of woodworking! In this hands-on camp, campers will learn the basics of working with wood, from simple tools to intricate designs, all while creating their very own unique projects. Whether it's crafting a birdhouse, building a picture frame, or even making their own wooden toy, kids will gain valuable skills in craftsmanship, creativity, and problem-solving.

What to Expect at Woodworking Camp:

  • Hands-On Learning: Campers will get to use real woodworking tools (with expert supervision!) to cut, shape, and assemble their creations. From sanding and staining to measuring and hammering, they’ll learn every step of the process.

  • Craftsmanship Skills: Young woodworkers will master essential skills like measuring, cutting, and joining wood pieces, learning how to make their projects sturdy and precise. They'll be taught safety first, ensuring they feel confident in their work.

  • Creative Projects: Each camper will get to make their own personalized projects, such as wooden picture frames, small furniture pieces, or even building their own wooden puzzles or toys. The sky's the limit for their creativity!

  • Design & Build: Campers will learn how to sketch designs, plan their projects, and bring their ideas to life. They'll explore how to transform raw materials into finished products, learning the value of planning and patience.

  • Teamwork & Problem Solving: Group projects will encourage collaboration, allowing campers to work together to build larger items or solve challenges that arise during the creative process.

  • Take Home Creations: By the end of the camp, each child will take home their handcrafted wooden masterpieces, giving them a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Pros: My son loved making projects. The time given to work on the project each day (2 hours adn 30 minutes) helped him improve and learn.

Improvement: Better ways of communication. This was my son's first time in this camp. On the last day of the week, there was a pizza treat and he was the only kid who did not get the pizza. The reason being that the parent had not signed for the pizza. I was never informed during the week about this until my son came in the evening upset about not getting pizza.

Hi Veena,
I am sad to hear about the Pizza issue. We communicate the Friday pizza lunch that families can sign up for in many ways.
An email is sent out to all families before the camp starts that has all the details on what to expect during the week including Pizza Friday with instructions on how to sign up.
We have a Pizza sign up sheet right next to the Attendance sign-in sheet so parents don't miss it. This is placed there on Monday and stays until Friday.
We also do multiple assemblies with children to go over what is happening during the week and pizza Friday is also announced at that time.

We order pizzas according to the number of sign-ups we get. It's unfortunate you missed the multiple reminders.

However, I saw your son feeling sad that he was not signed up, and I personally offered him pizza that he did have. I didn't want him to feel the way he was feeling. You can fact-check that with him.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience this situation might have caused.

Best Regards,
Divya

Achievers is the best camp my daughter attended so far . She is always excited for the next day . During the KidChen camp she came home with so many yummy deserts like tarts , cookies , cheese cake , etc. I must also mention that the all teachers and staff members are very responsible and friendly . I must mention when Miss Neeru called me promptly when she noticed my daughter wasn’t feeling well and we could get her to the doctors in timely manner. Really big big thanks to the entire team of teachers and staff members! You guys made summer fun for kids and care free for parents !! Cheers!!
