About
A Little Yumminess
We teach a variety of classes for kids of all ages – from preschoolers to high schoolers – with a focus on exploring world cuisines. At the heart of our kids’ classes is a dedication to helping kids to nurture their own curiosity about food, and empowering kids in the kitchen by helping them learn essential cooking skills. We have taught groups from Bay Area schools including Chinese American International School, Brandeis Hillel Day School, Presidio Knolls School, Nueva High School, and Marin Academy. We spend their summers cooking with kids at their popular summer camp, “A Little Yumminess Around the World“; and teach an ongoing, afterschool cooking series at FACES SF; and also teach custom classes and workshops.
Our Staff

Simran Singh & Stacie Dong love to teach kids of all ages to cook foods from around the world. They also write a twice monthly recipe column for the San Jose Mercury News (“Fast & Furious Weeknight Cooking”).

In addition to teaching kids’ classes and their popular “A Little Yumminess” summer camp, they teach classes for adults at 18 Reasons in San Francisco, the Cooking School at  Cavallo  Point in Sausalito, and Ramekins Culinary School in Sonoma.

Highly recommend! I recommend this camp to everyone! Not only do kids learn to follow a recipe, but also they learn to think like a cook--they learn to experiment with flavors and seasonings, and use their senses to guide their cooking (the way experienced cooks do). Kids are also exposed to a wide variety of foods, and I credit this camp with helping my kids become better eaters as a result. Also, the women who run it are awesome, and my kids have always enjoyed their time here.

My daughter has been going to camp for 5 years -- sometimes multiple weeks in the summer + a few of the one day camps as well. Super happy repeat camper! Simran, Stacie and crew are such skilled teachers and great role models. We've recommended the camp to friends who have also had great experiences.
