The Paws & Claws Club gives young students ages 10-15 years the opportunity to volunteer their time and love to the homeless animals at the Humane Society of Indianapolis. Being a part of this club teaches young people about the important role IndyHumane plays in our community. It also gives students a bonding experience with animals who need love and attention and with others their age that have a similar interest in animals and their wellbeing.
During the PCC summer camp sessions, students work together to complete shelter tasks such as socializing dogs and cats. Special projects are incorporated to make this opportunity a great experience. After summer sessions are complete, PCC members may volunteer on select Saturdays and request individual volunteer days the rest of the year.
