My son attended the cooking shop and was very happy with how he was able to cook for the first time! He was so proud to show off his new found skills and made the items at home for us! We were very happy that he enjoyed the week and learnt a new life skill in the process!

Our daughter has been going to Leapstart summer camp since last year. Based on our positive experience, we continued with after-care in the school year. She just attended the steam camp last week and as always she had a blast. It's a great place to keep learning new things and make new friends.

I was very disappointed by this week long summer camp. I do not think it was age appropriate for my daughter who is 4.5 years old (which is the lower end of the age range 4-12 for this camp). They did not have multiple classes based on age. There was very few kids around her age, and she did not get the attention needed for smaller kids.
On the first day, the teachers did not bother with letting us know how the day went. I had to find out from my daughter that she did not eat lunch and didn’t apply sunscreen that day out in the park. When I asked the teachers, the one in charge of lunch said if the kid says they don’t want to eat, they won’t push it. The teach did promise to keep an eye on my child the next day, and make sure she eats lunch.
Also, they seem very disorganized. On day 3, my daughter said her sun hat was lost. I checked with the teacher, who reassured me that the hat was not lost, just stuck in a van that took the kids to the park that day, but was not at the facility at the time when I picked my kid up at 3pm (which is the regular session end time). The teacher reassured me that my kid will have the hat the next day and we don’t need to bring a replacement. But when I return the next morning at 9 am, she said the hat is still stuck in the van somewhere, and I should come at noon to check! Then when I reminded her of the description of the hat, she suddenly remembered it was already in the facility! So if I didn’t stress the details, my kid would have been without her hat again, which probably would have made her very upset, and I would have made another trip at noon for no reason.
Lastly, it was not written anywhere in the summer camp page that LeapStart will drive the kids to different parks in vans. I just want to call this out, because if I knew this in advance I would have inquired more information about the trip and safety protocols. This information would have impacted my decision in choosing summer camps.

We at LeapStart understand that our camp may not have fully met your expectations as a parent and we apologize for any disappointment. We take pride in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our campers, and we're glad to hear that your daughter did not have any complaints with us.

We understand that sometimes kids can misplace things and it could be hard for our staff to identify and locate the same. We are glad that your daughter's hat was found the next day. We apologize for any confusion regarding our policy on lunchtime and hopefully we helped ensure your daughter finished her lunch on the remaining days.

Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all of our campers. We appreciate your feedback and shall take it into consideration as we strive to improve our camp offerings.

We would be happy to process 50% refund of Camp fees for you.

Thank you for choosing LeapStart.

Sincerely,
LeapStart Team

Hi! I am considering signing up my 10 year old son for this camp from June 28 to July 2. Are there other kids in his age range (9 to 11) ? If all the others are much younger I don't think he will enjoy it as much. (Krazy Chef's Cooking Camp)
