YTLC High Tech Summer Camp focuses on teaching the principals of STEM (Science. Technology. Engineering. Math) in a fun, engaging environment for students of all ages.
They are introduced to the world of Computer Science through fun, interactive learning programs through our instructors who have trained in Microsoft workshops to present this new, innovative material to our students.
Students in our High-Tech Camp (ages 9-16) learn to develop, design, and code their own interactive video game featuring their own characters and stories. Games are published at the end of the week for them to take home.
Students in Kids Camp (ages 6-9) are engaged in hands on building projects in LEGO® Engineering and K’Nex Education Projects. They are introduced to the world of Computer Science through fun, interactive learning programs through our instructors who have trained in Microsoft workshops to present this new, innovative material to our students.
Students in our Junior Camp (ages 3-6) learn to further develop their computer skills by learning to create their own animated movie using various software and techniques. Movies are rendered at the end of the week for them to take home.
If you're deciding between Kids Camp and Junior Camp for your 6 year old, please note that 6yos with little experience handling regular sized LEGOs may be more suited to Junior Camp for a week or two before moving up.
All students participate in our building creative expression class where they are able to use our stock of LEGO® pieces to create and design their own projects.
