Overview

This course offers a unique way to introduce the logical world of programming through the colorful lens of digital art! By learning Python programming, students will see their creativity materialize on screen - an inspiring experience that encourages them to explore and understand the beauty of code.


Through Python, students will learn how to draw colorful spirals and shapes with the Turtle graphics module, then will create fun interactive games using the Repl.it coding environment. By the end of this journey, students won't just have coded - they'll have painted, designed, and created, offering them a distinct and engaging pathway into the world of programming.


This course is beginner friendly, but will challenge and engage students of all programming levels.


Code For Fun instructors are experts in computer science and strive to make every session fun and engaging for all students.

My kiddo has attended a BUNCH of code camps, and Code for Fun is by far the best for both his enjoyment levels and the amount he learned. There are some other "code" camps he enjoyed because the instructors basically let the kids do what they wanted - so he watched youtube videos all day. And there are some that try to keep the kids on task but don't have very engaging teachers, so my kid ends up not wanting to attend. At Code for Fun, the teachers are creative and flexible, finding a way to meet kids where they are at and to give great suggestions for coding projects that incorporate their interests and abilities. My kid has attended multiple camps and now takes semi-private weekly classes with Code for Fun. I'm so impressed with the teachers' skill and highly recommend Code for Fun!
