ArteLuta Capoeira Academy, opened in S. Torrance / Lomita, CA in the heart of the South Bay area of Los Angeles in May of 2010, with the mission of teaching, expanding and preserving the values and legacy of the art of capoeira - bringing people together and changing lives along the way.

Our Staff

Originally from Porto Alegre-RS, Brazil, C. Mestre Varal started training capoeira at the age of 11. He has been teaching capoeira for more than a decade in schools, community centers and academies in Brazil and in the United States.

Honors & Awards

In 2020, we received the award for "Best Kids Day Camp" in Lomita from Hello South Bay in partnership with the Lomita Chamber of Commerce.
