Overview

Middle and High School students are invited to take part in a very special PGT program. PGT’s Community Cabaret Troupe travels to local hospitals, shelters and senior residences, lifting spirits with the joy of music and the power of generosity.

Weekly rehearsals prepare us to take a rotating set of group and solo numbers out into the community, where it is needed most. The intimate and casual style of cabaret performance allows us to really engage with our audience, connecting through the love of music. This program provides a great opportunity to expand your repertoire, sing with friends and, most of all, share your talent with those who would otherwise not be able to enjoy a live performance.

Our Community Cabaret Troupe offers an amazing opportunity for our students to reach out to their community in a unique and thoughtful way. This program is just as important and touching for the people in the program as those who they perform for. We love to watch our students perform in all different environments and push themselves to make their voices count.

Community performances begin around Thanksgiving time. The Troupe closes the Cabaret season with a final one-night only spring performance in PGT's Jonah Mac Theatre.
