About
Camp Natoma

Camp Natoma is a traditional summer camp located on California's Central Coast, between San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. Our unique summer camp program provides youth an opportunity to sleep under the stars and participate in outdoor activities including archery, swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, music, nature exploration, team-building, and more!

In addition to traditional week-long summer sessions, we also offer Family Camp, group/organization custom programs, and volunteer opportunities.

At Camp Natoma, campers gain independence while experiencing a connection with nature, each other, and positive adult role models. Campers are offered opportunities to express their creativity in a safe community environment. Experienced staff guide campers in youth-driven nature exploration as well as intentionally designed youth development activities.

I've worked at Camp Natoma for several summers in the past. I witnessed firsthand the amount of personal growth which can occur when a child attends camp. They learn a sense of confidence and independence in an environment not easily recreated in todays information age. When I have kids they will certainly attend Camp Natoma due not only to its location and history but also because of its potential for positive growth in anyone who has spent time there.

Back in 2003 or 2004 my son, Ty, went to Camp Natoma for the first time, when he was in the 3rd or maybe 4th grade. He loved it so very much he begged to go every year after…He did and he LOVED it!!!
I was amazed at how much fun my "introvert" boy was having. (he's going to hate me for posting this)...
He made life long friends he still has to this day…more than 10 years after. He attended EVERY summer until he was old enough to become a Counselor in Training and eventually a Counselor. His sister (9 yrs younger) has loved the summers she spent there and wants to go back as soon as possible. Although neither of my kids have attended for a couple of years (due to unfortunate life changes) I would recommend this summer camp to anyone! Honestly if you have any questions or concerns about sending your children to this summer camp, please feel free to ask me/contact me…. stormyrayne1@yahoo.com

I recommend Camp Natoma to everyone I meet! If you like hiking, swimming, archery, and singing around the campfire - you'll love it! I went to Natoma for ten years as a camper, was on staff, and then was a volunteer. My children were campers and then on staff. There is nothing better than sleeping out under the stars at Camp Natoma!
