Overview
Our summer comedy camps attract students from all over the world to learn improv, make friends, and perform on our stage! Work out your creative energy learning improv, sketch and musical improv, all while having loads of fun and laughs! Weeklong day camps thru Aug. No previous experience is needed. Camp ends with a show where the students show off what they’ve learned!
Students are grouped by ages 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18. No previous experience is needed. Camp ends with a free show where the students show off what they’ve learned!
Each day students rotate through three subjects:
Improv: An Intro to the rules of Improv; saying yes, working together, listening, and having fun.
Sketch Comedy: An intro to the basics of writing sketch comedy scenes.
Musical Improv: Learn to spontaneously put words to music.

I took the Improv 1 class last summer for the 5 day course and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. Rich Baker was our teacher and he did an amazing job. Learned a lot and got some really good practice. Highly recommend for anyone who's interested.

LA's Second City changed my life, taught me pretty much everything I know about comedy, filmmaking, and making friends in a big city...
They have the best staff/teachers of all the LA improv theaters....There are no pretentions, just good people looking to create, play, and master the arduous craft of sketch and improv comedy....This is where the funny is :)
