The Introduction to Ballet through Pre-Ballet IV levels aims to introduce young students to the foundation of ballet through music and rhythm, the basic positions and steps, group pattern routines, and gymnastics for ballet for flexibility and strength. These preparatory years give the students the foundation for the more rigorous pre-professional program.
Ballet I through VIII offers an intensive training program designed to channel the talents of the serious student along a professional route from the studio to the stage. Students in the graded program are placed in the corresponding ballet curriculum year (I – VIII) most appropriate for their age, as described here. Each year is designed to meet the instructional needs of students’ development according to the school’s syllabus and methodology.
