Want to give back to the community and have fun? How about learning to make a movie? Discovery Youth is an innovative digital media and community service program recognized by the Institute of Museums and Library Services. Youth in 5th-9th grade can volunteer in the community and at Children's Discovery Museum, create web pages and learn about photography, make movies and animations, and make a difference, all while making new friends and having fun! Weekdays are media days and Saturday is community service day. DY-SCI is an environmental media program which connects science and media. Students will study the Guadalupe River, help conserve local wildlife, create maps using GPS, explore nature photography, and much more! Wednesdays from 4:00pm-6:30pm. Mid October-Mid May Tuesdays (5th-6th grades): 3:30-6pm Wednesdays (7th-9th grades): 4-6:30pm Thursdays (7th-9th grades): 4-6:30pm Saturdays (5th-9th grades): 10am-1pm
