Great workshop day camp! My camper always comes home happy and energized with all of the activities she gets to do during the day.

Great communication beforehand on what to expect and summary of camp activities for conversation with our kids post-camp. Both girls loved it! Oldest daughter was hesitant because she didn’t know anyone but she left camp happy, telling me all about her new friend.

Campers were divided into different age groups. My 5yo fully enjoyed the week he was there. Will recommend.

My kids had a lot of fun. The staff and counselors were great. They were very communicative, friendly, and attentive.

My son loved it and has already asked to go back next summer!

My children (10 and 7 years old) attended Hiller's Flight and Motion camp. This camp was very well organized, and the instructors appeared to be very inclusive, engaging, and fun. My kids said that they definitely want to attend more camps next summer!

It was a fun camp for my son who learnt new skills.

Another delightful Camp Week with Hiller Aviation Museum! My son enjoyed hands-on activities, engaging class sessions, and a fantastic field trip to the USS Hornet -Sea, Air and Space Museum! Also, their special end-of-the-week gifts are great.

Amazing camp! My kid was talking about the camp for hours afterwards and is now building airplanes from LEGOS.

My son had so much fun. He was always welcomed by the group and included in all projects. He loved all the science topics. I didn't see him this excited during the school year. I wish Hiller Aviation Museum could offer after-school or homeschool programs during the year.

My daughter rarely tells us about her day, but she came home every day to tell us about her day at camp. The daily summary of what activities the campers did was very helpful to trigger her memory.

My child learned a lot at camp and enjoyed it immensely. My only feedback is for the camp staff to be more proactive about putting in a little effort to be more inclusive. It took a lot of coordination and communication to push for some minor accommodations and overall camp staff gave off the attitude that it was a bother to them.

My son came home more excited than we have ever seen him about science and aviation.

The kids loved their day at Flight Simulator Camp!

Our son (Kindergarten) had a wonderful time at the Got Bots 1-day camp on the Friday after Thanksgiving. He really enjoyed the activities which were right up his alley!

Great experience. My son enjoyed learning about fights. The only thing that could work better would be communication about snacks. On the website it says bring a morning snack and lunch. But my son said no afternoon snack was provided.

Our 1st grader thoroughly enjoyed Science Magic and Mr. Andrew’s class. He couldn’t stop talking about all the activities, stuff they made, and how much fun he had. When asked about his favorite part, his response was “all of it!”

Amazing! My son loved it! We will definitely do it again next summer.

My (almost) 7 year old son loved it and talked about the activities every evening after camp. We have been flying the model glider as our new favorite game at home.

Fantastic, well organized camp with a lot of exciting hands-on projects and a ton of learning.

It was our second time participating Aviation camp. Last summer camp and this winter camp were both great. They were very responsive to questions/requests. The activities were well structured. My kid brought back lots of fun things (usually science-related) back home to play with every day. We will definitely enroll again.

My daughter had the BEST time at Aviation Camp! This was her first time going, and she had so much fun and learned so much. I also appreciated how organized camp was and how communicative the museum was with us about camp expectations and what the kids were doing every day. We joined the museum because her experience was so good, and she loves running around and showing off all the things she did at camp. She says she wants to go back to Aviation Camp for every break now!

My 5.5 year old had a great time at the Aviation camp. She talked about all the things she learnt and saw. She even continued making paper copters at home. This is one of the few camps she insisted on going back again to.

Absolutely wonderful camp! We will definitely be back next year!

My son absolutely loved this camp. This is a great camp for the kids to learn and play with really cool things.

This is absolutely one of the best camps. There are tons of hands on learning and take home crafts and toys. For the after care, The kids can play bunch of board games, observe planes taking off and landing on the observation area, etc. My 5 yr old’s favorite was the last day field trip to launch the rocket he made. He definitely had a wonderful time there.

My son really loved this camp. He came home at the end with a large bag of all sorts of little airplanes - paper airplanes, wooden ones, a parachute, and even an RC helicopter (this one unfortunately hit a wall on it's first flight and broke :(. My son said he loved all of the activities, there was a paper airplane champion who came and taught the kids how to fold cool paper airplanes, and he loved that the outdoor play area had a control tower where he could go to watch airplanes at the San Carlos airport. This one is on our list to do again next year.

Well-organized, lots of activities, my kids learned so much! Best camp ever!!

My 6yo had a great time at this camp. He learned a lot about flight and navigation. He enjoyed all the activities and even made a new friend. We're very happy with how well the camp was structured and managed.

Student: It was really fun, but I don’t like how the classes mix. I’d rather have 2 classes with one teacher each rather than 2 teachers for a large class.
Guardian: I appreciated receiving a prompt refund for the days my grandson was ill and could not attend. Thank you.

Totally recommend! My son was in this camp for the first time and this is the best camp he’s been at so far. Everyone was very welcoming, the staff is super knowledgeable and not just read a booklet before the camp, kids were really nice too. We already enrolled him to all the upcoming camps.

Our 6-year-old daughter absolutely loved this week of camp. She was there from 9am-4pm, and when my husband would pick her up, she always asked to stay an extra hour to play in the museum until it closed at 5pm. She came home with all sorts of projects and experiments. We could not be more pleased.

The camp leaders were friendly, knowledgeable and available to speak with parents before and after camp. My daughter came home excited about aeronautics and space. She enjoyed learning and was able to come home at the end of each day and tell me about what she learned. I appreciated the daily activity summaries emailed out every afternoon. These provide great talking points and space to connect with my daughter about what she was up to that day. I would love to see longer after care hours for those families whose circumstances require it.

I could tell how much my son enjoyed the camp by the pride he showed in all of the projects he worked on. He also started asking me a lot of questions about space and other related topics. I want to thank the staff for being so patient with him.

The best! My daughter (5 years old) and sin (10 years old) learned so much and made friends! I was worried it might be too much for my five year old who had not been to any day care for more than 2 hours, but she was happy!

My son really enjoys this camp. (I'm not sure if it's because he stays with his grandparents while he's there, and because they buy him a present in the gift shop?) The counselors always seem caring and he seems to learn interesting new stuff. They have made great strides over the years with organization, too -- the camp has evolved quite a bit and seems to have only gotten better. The only draw back is you do come home with a lot of projects, activities and prizes that are mostly plastic and paper and we end up having to dispose of.

My son was excited to go every morning and loved every minute. We were also comfortable with the COVID protocols they followed. We would definitely attend another camp.

Our son loved Aviation camp. He did lots of activities and enjoyed the flight sim (especially crashing). The crafts and projects that he took home were fun.
Main negative (which may be a total failure for some) was the poor implementation of covid protocols. We saw kids at drop off with their masks down and sitting much less than 6ft apart. No required hand sanatizing on arrival. The staff who seemed to do an excellent job with the activities, didn't seem to be monitoring for Covid rules in the limited time we were there in the drop/off pick up times.

Highly recommended camp! Amazing camp! My kids asked me to buy chess to play at home, told me many stories about airplanes, came home with gifts and crafts every day.

They have plenty of interesting projects for kids. My son was excited!

My son cried after his last day for 4 weeks. They give out very cool goodies. They discipline the kids well that my son felt safe and respected (I guess being an older kid helps getting the admiration from younger ones) and give them a deep dive in aircrafts along with videos, crafts. My son woke up extra early not wanting to be late. He learned that one cartoon did not design the plane right, now that he knows more than I do. He wants to go again next year and work there when he is older. A tip from me is to register early to get your slot!

Exceeded our expectations! Kids absolutely loved it and came home everyday with awesome crafts, fun facts, and really cool toys! Hovercrafts, drones, compasses, and more. One of the more engaging camps we’ve been to and we’ll definitely sign up again for it next year.

The camp at the aviation museum is just amazing. My 7-year old son was really excited about going there every day. He got a lot of projects done and a lot of good presents. After the 4-week session ended, he took our whole family to the museum for a tour! Also he got inspired to study aerodynamic and get a pilot license. Thank you!

I really recommend it!! My son was engaged throughout camp. He learned a ton. He enjoyed the flight simulator, sitting in the sea boat. They had fun builds and partner and individual activiites. They provide an after school rundown of what the kids did and it was helpful to talk about his day: The teachers were so nice and gave us helpful feedback about our son’s behavior. He corrected it and he was quickly back on track. My son already wants to come back for winter camp because he made some good friends over the month long camp.

Great camp at Aviation Camp! My son loved learning about planes, helicopters. Open cockpit day was his favorite! They built a lot of cool stuff and I would love to send him back!

Drones, drones, drones! Our son has yet to stop talking about the wonderful day he had at Hiller! The staff was lovely, registration easy (and accommodating when our son was sick and we had to reschedule), and we look forward to having our son join in another camp day very soon!

My daughter enjoyed the aviation camp so much she’d rather missed school just to be at the camp. The field trip to the San Francisco Museum and airport was such a great ending to the week. Thank you!

Drone camp had fun activities and learning opportunities. Kid received a drone at the end of camp, and that was the highlight.

My daughter (6yo rising first grader) enjoyed the camp and the activities. She said she would have liked more “recess” time, so I think she could have used a few more unstructured moments as a younger kid.

For parents with daughters: My daughter did make the observation “where are all the girls at this camp?” It is extremely gender-imbalanced, unfortunately. In her group there were only 2 or 3 girls total. I think if she does go back we would make sure to enroll her with a friend.

My son had a great time. He was very excited to test his rocket! The team at the Aviation Camp was very organized to make sure the kids were safe.

Adam Chow attended two holler camps this. From all indications he had a great time, met some new friends. He was well educated at both camps as well. The staff was very nice and helpful. When Adam had a problem with another child when he was in echo group the young lady handled very well. Thanks for giving my grandson a great time.

Great camp, lots of activities. The kids enjoyed every day and learned a ton.

Very good designed classes about the camp topic. They do have fun in play and get the knowledge learnt through the craft they made, the arts they created and the lots of small toys they played with.

I would definitely recommend this camp even if your kids are not crazy about planes. My kids enjoyed this camp a lot. Both were so excited to tell me about the activities they had done each day when I picked them up. The camp is well organized and run. We will be back again!

My son 12 loved pilot academy. He gave it a 98 out of 100. The only reason it wasn't a 100 was one of the instructors was grumpy. The activities were plenty. Simulators and field trips were his favorite. Definitely will do again and worth the money

I highly recommend! My 10-year old son attended Pilot Academy this summer and absolutely loved it! My husband and I are both pilots, and appreciated the comprehensive overview of aviation that the camp provided. The kids learned about the basics of flight, aviation weather, air traffic control, aviation history, and much more! My son came home excited and energized from all that he learned each day, and would enthusiastically go back for another camp in the future.

So, this is an edit to an original review. My son attended the Flight & Motion camp for a week. On the first two days, we noticed the camp facilitators weren't very engaged or attentive. So my son wasn't enjoying the camp and wanted to pull out. They have a great itinerary of activities, but it was just the coaches looking after the kids weren't very attentive and engaging the kids. But after writing an initial review of 1 star, the Camp organizers sent an apologetic message right away and must have spoken to the camp facilitators immediately. The camp facilitators really improved their attitude. My son ended up loving the camp by the end of the week and wants to return for next summer!

So overall, great activities on flight & motion and really great organizers who care about the program.

Our 5 year-old daughter had a great time at the Flight Motion Hiller Aviation Camp that was 1 week long. She only stayed at the camp for the morning portion everyday, but she enjoyed her time and we were pleased that she was able to learn fun, new things about planes and flying.

My 10 year old daughter loved the camp and she learned quite a bit. She especially enjoyed using the simulator. The camp staff were very friendly and overall it was a good experience. The kids had the opportunities to create and participate in lots of experiments and avation related builds.

Fabulous camp! My son loved it, learned a lot, and brought home a bunch of neat stuff. It was a very educational and entertaining week for him.

My daughter went to the Aviation Camp for her first time this summer. She loved it! We had scheduled half days for only one week. She enjoyed her group, the activities and her peers. She asked to extend her last day to a full day, which they accommodated!

Our son's absolute favorite camp, again. He's already talking about doing this again next year. There's not many true aviation camps for this age range - this one is the real thing. Thank you!

My 12-year-old son has been going to the Hiller Aviation Camps over the last several summers and vacations, and he has loved them all. He was very interested in Spaceflight Tech because they would have the opportunity to design and launch their own rockets. He was mildly disappointed that they were only able to choose from existing designs for the nosecone and fins, not completely design the entire rocket from scratch; perhaps that's for next year! Overall he had an amazing time, and would highly recommend it to other kids.

Amazing! My son didn’t want to be late and received tons of goodies at the end that he had created.

They need to recruit more girls! My daughter loved it but was one of two girls in the camp :(. She didn't notice though - and she really enjoyed all the activities. Quality of instruction and topics was better than I expected.

My son attended several camps there. He enjoyed it very much. He liked the flying simulation the most.

Our 3rd grade son loved Aviation Camp. He's looking forward to going again. He's gained a real interest in all things related to flight.

This is a terrific camp and a great opportunity for kids to learn about aviation and engineering. My boys love it!!

Great experiences and learning. Many of the demos and kits were broken during camp, so kids left a bit disappointed.

This camp was great. Very well organized and the kids got lots of interesting things to take home almost every day. My son was absolutely enthralled by what he learned, and the after-care was very reasonably priced.

My 5-year-old absolutely loved Aviation Camp. He came home every day full of stories of what they built and learned that day, which was not the case for his prior camp. He also came home with a drone, 3D printed object, a robot, various launchers, and other educational toys on each day of the week. What a great camp! I highly recommend it.

It was fine for my 5 yr old but i think it would be far better for kids 7 years or older.

It’s a good camp with hands on activities such as making gliders and cool gadgets. One morning they played with robot and on the last day the camp gave the kids a flying crystal ball. My kid really enjoyed this camp and wants to go back next summer.

I signed my nephew up for this camp and it was the second year we have done this. We expect to do it a third year too. He loved camp and had a great time. He was sad when the week came to an end which is unusual for a 6 year old to express that feeling. I liked the notes home that gave us an idea of what to ask about. Very professional and well run; I liked the young leaders as they bring an appropriate level of enthusiasm. We all really enjoy Hiller Aviation and I will continue to be a member too.

I have two kids joined Aviation Camp last week, they learned a lot and have a great week in Hiller Aviation.

My two son could enjoy their programs and both of them got drones after the camp. They were so excited!

I would highly recommend this camp!! My son had an awesome time. My son had always been interested in airplanes / aviation. But this camp cemented that interest. He is at full afterburner for aviation now. And the kids he met were just as enthusiastic.

My son finally found "his people and his true love." He always has been fascinated with airplanes/aviation. Everyday he tells me how much fun he had at camp.

The camp was great. My child had fun and learned amazing things.

My daughter LOVES Aviation Camp at Hiller. She loved her first week so much that she requested to go another week instead of art camp with her friend. Aviation Camp at Hiller is super organized and well-staffed. They have multiple age appropriate projects throughout the day. Every day, my daughter comes home sharing something new that she learned. It is one of the BEST summer camps that we’ve tried.

The team leads were friendly, knowledgeable and related well to children and their needs. My child came home excited, informed and full of knowledge from the days adventure. We will be returning!

My child had a great time at aviation camp (Physics Flyers). There were lots of fun activities and he learned lot as well.

My son always has a great time at aviation camp, and he has been going for about 3 yrs now. Always fun is the week where they build rockets that they launch in Alameda at the end of the week, and visit the USS Hornet. He also likes bringing home the rc drones and helicopters....he has so many that he allows me to donate them.

My son loved this camp so much that we signed up for another week at the end of summer. So much variety of things to do, lots of great hands on activities and he learned so much! Great camp instructors/counselors too, you've hired some very fine young people.

Fun activities, cool staff. Liked all the engineering things and the bird show!

Our 6 year-old LOVED aviation camp! It was right up his alley. He loves building things and figuring out how technology works, and this camp really suited him. He was in camp for two weeks and he wasn't bored. I think he could have even been happy with another week!

My son had a good time at the camp. He made new friends and enjoyed the flight simulation very much.

Every year my son brings home a cheap quadcopter that they "gave" him (with my money). He already has several of thee expensive trinkets and he quickly bores of them. My son wants to use the flight simulator, and he gets a little bit of that, but mostly there is a whole bunch of time wasted on watching the Planes movie and making goo and fake snow. These activities don't really have anything to do with flight. I wish that this was a more focused camp.

My kids haven't stopped talking about Aviation Camp. My eldest liked the flight simulator so much that he wanted to go back this weekend to practice his pilot skills!

My son loved the Drone Rangers camp. He did tons of fun activities and even got some fun toys to take home. We'll be signing up to Hiller camp again for sure.

The kids had fun at the camp this week. However, it appears that not all the activities advertised in the camp description were conducted. For example, the boys did not build a real aircraft model. They had built various models from toy kits. I was disappointed as I thought this is an advanced camp (Engineer Workshop) and I have high expectations of the projects. This camp is probably appropriate for younger kids but not for 5th grade and above.

This is a terrific camp for kids are are looking to learn as well as be entertained. I was really impressed with the level of learning and the counselors ability to get the kids really engaged in learning. The camp was also very organized. I strongly recommend this camp to parents and campers alike!

I like that every one at Hiller was helpful and friendly, including the volunteers. It made us feel welcome. I greatly appreciated Sarah's handout to me every afternoon listing the activities the campers performed. I had a great discussion with my son the way home and at home over dinner with the rest of the family. My son loved that he had opportunities to build something everyday and bring him item home to share with mom and family. My son is a big fan of building, rocketry, aviation and flight simulators. This was an excellent camp for him this year. We hope there are more higher level summer camps for him next year.

Engaging, enriching and hands on. Many new activities everyday. Pick up and drop off a breeze. The length worked for my 5, 7 and 8 year old, ,not too long, but not too short. There was a good mix of girls and boys.

We are repeat campers and my kids enjoy it very much. They come home brimming with facts and knowledge, as well as evidence of their experiments during camp. Staff are helpful and the camp director is very responsive to needs and questions.

This is the second year my son has attended this camp, and he really enjoyed it!

Great camp! They do a great job working with various age groups. My 3rd grader and 7th graders enjoyed the camp.

Aviation camp syllabus seems ok. But there are issues with the teachers in the camp. In the previous camp, I observed some kids were bullying silent kids and the teachers were not saying anything. I should have complained at that time only. But in the recent camp where my son attended, few guys started bullying my son (kicking and hitting) and again teacher didn't say anything. I was watching it from distance where teachers were unaware of my presence. Later when I asked, they talked as if nothing happened. This is ridiculous. Kids don't understand what to do and how to handle the situation. Kids also don't know that they have to complain to parents are teachers and they take it on themselves silently. These instructors and teachers are waste folks, they are not trained well to handle kids. I do not recommend sending your innocent little ones to any camp in Hiller Aviation Museum. Don't hurt your kids by sending them to summer camp in Hiller Aviation Museum.

Fabulous camp! I can't say enough good things about it. My son loved it last year and also this year. The activities are right up his alley. We love that he actually learns something about flight, weather, engineering, robotics etc and that the activities are geared to take simple construction a few steps further into wiring, circuits, or programming. Well done!

We had two very different kids who went to aviation camp. Our kids have been to many camps and both ranked this as their favorite camp of the year. And we could tell that was the case, they always had a lot to say about camp and what they did -- and they were excited to get to camp every morning!

Highly recommend this camp! My three boys LOVE this camp! The staff is wonderful, the kids are kept busy, they are learning new things and they make great inventions/toys to take home.

My son really enjoyed Flight Training camp at Hiller. The topics and activities were very appropriate for him (he is 7) and he really took to a couple of the counselors (they rotate a bit, though the lead counselor stays the same). Organization was a little iffy sometimes (counselors weren't proactive in being helpful - you had to make sure you got their attention and asked about where you needed to be, how to get your camper for check-out, etc) but nothing out of the ordinary from general camp experiences where there are younger counselors.

My 6 y/o son loved it. He attended the Flight Science Lab. The program was great about communicating what we parents needed to do with drop off/ pick up and it appeared to run smoothly. We liked having the option for a half day or full day program. They sent home a small notice each day of what the kids worked on. The projects they got to build or try were fantastic and appropriate for the age. He didn't really have much to say about the instructors but the ones I met were all competent and responsible. He has requested (and I plan) to do other Aviation Camps in the future.

My little engineer/wanna be pilot loved this camp. As a parent I loved the papers they came home with telling us what they did that day so we could ask about it and have conversation with them. He also came home with little airplanes and toys and things he built as well as parachutes, etc. These tangible crafts were great to bring some of the aviation camp home with him. Hiller is a special museum that we love as a family. Activity Hero was the easiest and clearest sign up of any of the camps we used this summer. Very parent (and mom) friendly! I appreciate that and made sign up quick and easy. Activity Hero also sent clear easy to read confirmation emails as well as a reminder email with all the info I needed. Perfect for a busy mom of 6 kids like me! We will definitely be signing up again next year. Thank you for a great well organized and fun camp.

This camp was super organized and lots of fun. Plenty of educational experiences, projects, learning, feedback to parents, etc....My son and nephew are begging to go back next week let alone next summer.....HIGHLY recommend!

I had higher expectations and was a bit disappointed. Considering the high cost, I expected them to have kids spend more time sitting in the cockpits of the 747 in the rear of the museum or other plane cockpits. They should do this daily and rotate each of the kids through them as they are at the airport and this is an aviation camp. The arts and crafts part with the airplanes/helicopters is ok, and seems that's the main focus. But, I can get that part at other camps too at a lower cost. They have potential, but need to tweak the program. Also, don't expect to get an agenda for the week, as they don't have one written down for the parents.

Both kids seemed to really like the camp this year. They were excited to go each day. I even asked them if they preferred Aviation Camp to the Sports Camp they were in the previous two weeks, and hands down, they liked HIller's camp. Lots of fun things to learn about space and science.

I wish we had a few more minutes on the simulators.✈️💺🚁

Our son absolutely loved the Aviation Camp at Hiller. He participated in the X-Plane session and enjoyed meeting other kids who were aviation fans just like him. He also really enjoyed the time on the simulators. We were delighted and surprised with the great take home gifts too. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a child interested in aviation.

My kids Elina and Michael attended the Aviation Camp on the week of June 22, 2015. They both enjoyed the camp and had great time. They liked how each day had an interesting activity where they can learn new things and also where they can were creative designing airplanes. They enjoyed birds show and were amazed how smart and trained the birds were. I will definitely recommend this camp to my friends.

Loved the model airplanes coming home with the kids. What a wonderful way to remember his experience in camp.
Teaching him how to submit a flight plan and read a map was also a pleasant surprise. He learned so much about flying from this camp!

My son has been to Aviation Camp two years in a row. He is becoming an expert Flight Simulator pilot and enjoys the activities and the counselors. Air & Space was especially good camp choice because of the Field Trip to Launch Rockets and visit the USS Hornet Museum. We'll be back!

This is the most AMAZING day camp available in the Peninsula! My 6 year old son recently completed a week at Aviation Camp and he absolutely loved every moment of it, he learned so much and wanted to share all of his new knowledge. Our dinner conversation was dominated by topics related to Space, Air and Physics. The Camp Staff was knowledgeable, professional and caring, I felt confident and at ease when leaving my son at the camp. Aviation Camp ROCKS!!!

Exceedingly well planned, educational, and *fun* camp for my son, who is 6, almost 7. He loved the entire week - especially the field trip to launch the rockets they had built! He came home filled to the brim with new learnings on planets and the solar system, physics, and all-things-flight. I already recommended the camp to my social network with glowing praise.

My 6 year old daughter thought this camp was the best ever and she is inspired to be a scientist. Thank you for putting on such a great program!

Love The Hiller Aviation Museum. Docents and Staff are very helpful and educate my kids every time we go. My kids always learn something new at camp!
