About
West Coast Aquatics
WEST is a 501-3c non-profit organization committed to promoting swimming for life. As a facility-run swim team, we pride ourselves on fostering excellence both in and out of the pool and instill life lessons such as dedication, sportsmanship and a strong work ethic.
We are more than a swim team however, we are an aquatic community. Our programs include year-round club team, swim lessons, pre-competitive teams, and summer team. We also support High School Swimming by renting pool space to several local teams, keeping rates low and running many meets throughout the seasons.

Our Staff
LIFEGUARD SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard and CPR certified.
-Minimum age 16.
-Knowledge of pool equipment and basic cleaning
-Work effectively with others-Customer service skills
-Attention to detail-Arrive to scheduled shifts punctually.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:-walk and stand for long periods.
-lift up to 50 lbs.
-swim 600 yards and tread water.
SWIM INSTRUCTOR SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum age 15
-Must have experience with children ages 3 to 12 years old, or willing to learn.
-Preference for candidates with competitive swimming experience and a basic knowledge of proper stroke technique.
-Maintain positive and polite attitude towards all swimmers and parents.
COACHING STAFF SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Must maintain current USA Swimming Coach Certification
Must maintain current Lifeguard & CPR Certification
