As parents, we strive to provide our children with every opportunity for a future in STEM fields. Girls (and boys) are more likely to pursue a STEM career if they have a positive STEM class or teacher experience at a young age. Bricks 4 Kidz San Francisco is especially passionate about engaging K-5 girls in STEM concepts by using specific programming geared towards their unique needs and interests.We are currently offering girls-only programs with our school partners. Why a girls-only program?
- To assist in boosting girls’ self-esteem (girls’ self-esteem decreases with age, while boys’ self-esteem stays the same)
- To provide young girls with a productive outlet, as the curriculum is designed with girls’ experiences and interests in mind
- To provide positive female role-models; the program is run by women and includes information on successful women in STEM fields
- To provide a community of women, both peers and mentors, whom girls can engage with STEM for Girls
Our programs provide a creative atmosphere for students to build unique creations, play games, and have loads of fun while using LEGO® Bricks. We encourage students to explore engineering concepts and principles through hands-on model building. The activities are designed to trigger young children’s lively imaginations and build their self-confidence. Learn more about our programs’ developmental benefits and goals.

Our Staff
Our instructors are individuals who are passionate about teaching STEM to students in an exciting way. Most, if not all, of our camp instructors teach enrichment classes. Each instructor is qualified to teach enrichment classes/camps, and undergoes training sessions that focus on classroom supervision and youth management. All instructors go through LIVE SCAN for background checks and finger printings.

This place is great! My son had just turned 4, so he was a little young for following instructions for projects and such.. However, the staff was very flexible with him and a few other kids and split them into a separate group. They were able to give them a mixture of self-paced lego time as well as some STEM-type activities in-between. He was really really happy with 'lego camp', and he liked it MUCH better than the other camp we put him in the week before.

My son is so excited to head to another Bricks for Kidz camp this summer. He just loves the themes they come up with and I love that he doesnt just stay inside all day playing with bricks - they do so much more than that - its a really well rounded program from art projects and free play to more structured activities and they go outside and play at neighborhood playgrounds! The class size is not too big and the kids always seem to get a long and have fun!
I would definitely recommend the Bricks for Kidz camps to anyone looking for a quality experience at a great price!

My son is 6 yrs old attending the Bricks 4 Kidz class held at Rooftop elementary once a week. He is so excited every week and looks forward to participate in the class because of the hands on. My son saved throughout the summer to attend this class and even though it was a struggle for us the program worked with us. We are so grateful and thankful for Bricks 4 Kids!
My son is able to put the most challenging LEGO set together with confidence and it's exciting to be included as a parent. I had no idea how much fun it was until I joined him with one of his LEGO sets (it was my first time ever) and I was excited! I look forward to the camps coming up and I would recommend this program to others. I see the difference in his ability to just jump in and try something new with confidence! Thanks Bricks 4 Kidz!
