Camp Conrad Weiser - South Mountain YMCA

We are located on 500 mountain top acres in Berks County, PA, just 30 minutes from Lancaster. Camp Conrad Weiser is a traditional coed camping program that offers a wide variety of program choices. Campers have five class periods per day.  Periods one through four stay the same throughout the course of the week and the fifth period is a choice option that may change every day.  With staff assistance, campers choose from the following:  swimming (both recreational and instructional), boating (sailing, canoeing and kayaking), creative arts, performing arts, outdoor environmental education, horseback riding, adventure (high and low ropes, climbing tower), athletics (court sports and field sports), fishing, mountain biking, mountain boarding, teen adventure and shooting sports (trap, 22’s, archery).  We keep the campers very active and in addition to the camp day we are busy with evening programs, group games and campouts.  Our staff are fully trained and certified to teach in all of our program areas and safety is our number one priority. 

We have four villages at camp, two for boys and two for girls.  The youngest villages are for campers ages 7-11 and our oldest villages are for children ages 12-15.  We pride ourselves in the quality and dedication of our staff and work hard at finding the best role models in the field.  We generally have two adult counselors with 8-10 campers in a cabin.  Our cabins are brand new log cabins and our bathhouses are shared in the villages.  They are also new and have modern conveniences.
