About Crissy Field Center
The Crissy Field Center’s mission is to encourage new generations to become bold leaders for thriving parks, healthy communities, and a more environmentally just society. Situated within Golden Gate National Park, on the picturesque East Beach, we are housed in a sustainably designed building and implement green practices in all program areas. From utilizing 100% post-consumer recycled paper in our office to growing edible and native plants in our backyard, the Crissy Field Center staff truly believes that positive environmental change must start with us. Here is just a sample of what we are doing:
* LEED Platinum certified building
* Online registration to minimize paper waste
* Green Business certification, with an active composting and recycling program
* Use of recycled materials and program supplies, as well as green janitorial and cleaning products
Camp Philosophy
We seek to provide children in-depth experiences in our urban environment and local national park. Through a rich combination of outdoor investigation, field outings, and fun hands-on projects, campers learn about important ecological concepts and issues while in a collaborative, community building environment.
We believe that children learn best when they feel safe and happy and we take great care to ensure the safety of every camper. Bullying, discrimination, or any action that jeopardizes the physical or emotional well-being of campers is strictly not tolerated.
Financial Assistance
Crissy Field Center Summer Camp is dedicated to providing summer opportunities for all Bay Area youth. If your child receives free or reduced lunch at school, you automatically qualify for a full or half-discounted scholarship and applications are accepted on a rolling basis until camps fill. Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please see each camp for more information.
Refund Policy
At the Crissy Field Center, we understand that sometimes life happens and plans change. We are happy to accommodate. To receive a refund, a written request (paper or electronic) must be submitted to the Center at least six weeks before the designated start of the camp.
