Introduction to Video Game Design and Robot Programming - ages 5 to 8, 9 to 14

From Gamers to Game Creators: Channel your child’s enthusiasm for video games into something more productive with our cutting-edge class! We provide a comprehensive introduction to video game design where kids can transform from mere players into skilled creators.  Turn your child's love of video games into an rewarding educational experience.

Students design their own video game and then program the microcomputer that controls it.  Students ages 5 to 8 receive extra help and work with instructor in their age group to code the games step-by-step.   Students ages 9 to 14 are given step-by-step instructions by instructor and help when needed.  The microcomputer is available for purchase for $56 so that students can keep using it after the class.  LEGO Teamwork activities too.

Lunch provided: Choice of Pizza, Hamburger, or Cheeseburger with french fries

Snack provided: Bagels with cream cheese and jelly, potato chips and water

For the SCRATCH Coding & LEGO Robotics, why does the description state it’s Arduino also? Do you teach both programs? I’d love to sign my kid up for this 4-week class but how long would the robot shipping take? If we buy it on our own before the class, where do we get it? Do you have Feb classes too? Thank you. Yes, Robot Academy sells the Arduino LEGO Robot that uses Scratch Programming. Shipping from Ohio so East Coast is 2 day shipping. You can only buy the robot from Robot Academy. It is an option at checkout. We will also have classes in February. -
