About
Asian Arts School

At Asian Arts Studio students have the opportunity to not only learn about creating works of art but also Mandarin language and they are immersed in the full Chinese art experience. The studio offers classes where students are placed at the appropriate level based on their current art skills. Levels range from Level 1 where students have 100% step-by-step instruction to Advanced/Independent for those students who are creating art pieces for academic and professional review.

Along with our art classes, students can attend one of our nine, 1-week long summer camps. At these camps, the students will have the opportunity to be taught by professionals from the Confucius Institute at San Francisco State University. Some of the fun and exciting activities that are available include calligraphy, Chinese brush painting, Chinese folk songs, poetry, dance, theater, and so much more.

At Asian Arts Studio we just don't create artists, we create artists who are enriched with Chinese culture and language skills.

I 100% recommend!! I’ve been going to this school for about 6-7 years and I’ve learned so many things!
I have been at this art school since I was 5 and am now 17! I cannot recommend this studio and teacher enough. I have learned so so much from Mrs. Wei and I owe all my artistic talent and passion to her. Her teaching is very easy to follow and learn from and I could not have asked for a better art teacher! I 1000000% recommend her!

Valerie, thank you for sharing this beautiful painting with us, and thank you for your generous recommendation. ---Lin Wei
Ms. Wei came highly recommended by my friend, and Ms Wei does not disappoint. After having both of kids assessed, we signed them up for the Intermediate classes. And in just a few short months, we have seen tremendous improvement for them both. They have recently switched to Advance class, and we are thankful for Ms. Wei's teaching and guidance.

Questions & Answers
Are there materials that we need to purchase? How will students catch up the students are joining halfway? (Intermediate Art Classes for Kids & Adults - Live!) -

Yes, all the Live Online students need to buy their own materials. On the bottom of the AAS Agenda of this Week email, you will find a link to order a drawing pad from Amazon. If it is too later for her to get it this week, she can use any 8.5" x 11 "printing paper. She is also need a pencil and an easier. The pencil can be a standard #2, but a 2B is usually preferred. The higher the number the softer the lead. The fact that your daughter is coming to us in the middle of the year should not be a concern. There is no "catching up" because, even when the students are the same age and begin at the same time, they are in a different place with respect to the various skills that they must develop to create art. -
I really want my 13 yr old to attend a class tomorrow, however, he is concerned that he will be in class with 5 yr olds. I can't say that I blame him. I put in age 13 and it gives me a class for ages 5-12. I thought the age groups would be divided? (Beginner Art Classes for Kids - Live Online) -

Hello, I'd like to sign my daughter for art camp (lesson every day in the morning). Is such option available? I'd be happy if the teacher was teaching drawing with pencil, not some projects that require a lot of materials. Thank you (Intermediate Art Classes for Kids & Adults - Live!)
